The Story: The Doernbecher Freestyle Collab shoe was inspired by Seattle, Ethan’s special people, and his favorite anti-hero, Venom. The color purple signifies courage. Asymmetrical elements represent Ethan’s battle with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. The shoe was selected for the Portland Art Museum Show “Future Now: Virtual Sneakers to Cutting Edge Kicks.”
